Looking for a way to give back in 2010?

Join the Newport Beach Jaycees as we give back to the community during Rebuilding Together's "Day of Good Deeds." Rebuilding Together is a national nonprofit organization who work to preserve affordable home ownership and revilalize communities. Taking place at multiple sites around the city of Santa Ana, Rebuilding Together's Day of Good Deeds hopes to provide repairs and rehabilitation for low-income individuals and families.  And best of all? No skills are requied! All you need is a willingness to help and a positive attitude!

Our group has been assigned to the Santa Ana Zoo in order to plant trees and assist in making walkways more ADA accessible. All individuals who sign up for this event will receive an email with information regarding the location and a waiver to be filled out and brought to the event. T-shirts will be provided by Rebuilding Together. Also, please plan on bringing a lunch or eating locally as this event lasts from 7:30am until 4:00pm.

And to sweeten the deal, this event qualifies for Disneyland's "Give a Day, Get a Day" promotion in which volunteers are rewarded for their community service with a free pass to Disneyland. The promotion details can be accessed through the Disneyland website, along with all necessary steps for obtaining the free pass. Once you sign up for this event, locate the Rebuilding Together event (enter "Santa Ana" for the city to locate the event), sign up, and wait for the officials to verify your attendance. Those who sign up for this giveaway must sign out at the end of the day with our Project Leader in order to qualify. Easy as that!!
